Waldman’s

Another brother-in-law of Paul Pearl, Sam Waldman (a butcher by trade), husband of his sister Lilian (“Lillie”) (who had a small store in NYC at one time) , ran the Pearl’s store in St. Regis Falls, NY from 1940 to 1952.  His sons, Joseph (“Joey”) and Elias (“Eli”) opened a store in 1949 Chittenango, NY, (about 15 miles east of Syracuse on NYS Route 5) called  Waldman’s Department Store.  In 1952, Sam and Lillie  moved to Syracuse area and had a store in nearby Manlius (11 miles southeast of Syracuse and 6.5 miles southwest of Chittenango) also under the name Waldman’s Department Store.
