Part 2 Baltimore (MD) New York Pants Mfg. Co.

The New York Pants Manufacturing Company (NYPCO) was owned by Samuel Osovitz and his two brothers-in-law, Joe Prisman and Harry Prisman. It was located in Baltimore, Maryland. Sam Osovitz came to Baltimore in the 1890’s and the business was founded around that time. It made men’s pants that were sold to retail stores throughout the East Coast. Later Nathan Mendelson, who was married to Sam’s daughter Anne was in the business acting a salesman. The company went out of business in the late 1960’s after an unsuccessful expansion to women’s slacks.
